Day 22 of 100 Days on how to treat men right and lead with your heart in relationship and daily interactions with men.
#22 Own your power as a woman.
If you feel powerless, you will project that as men oppressing you. There is a difference between personal feeling and facts. If you recognize your power as a human being you will have no need to live in this bizarre fear.
Now what does it mean to own your power? When you talk down to men, you are being weak. When you shame men, you are being weak. When you abuse men, you are being weak.
Power comes from learning how to work with your fellow humans and create healthy community. Owning your power means you feel safe within yourself. If you do not feel that, no matter what you will never feel safe. Own that feeling as a process that happens inside of you. You can change that any time by owning your power.
Manipulating someone is not powerful, that is weakness.
Learning how to approach men with your heart, listen, be receptive, share encouragement, share love with men, THAT is a powerful woman. Own your power and express it. Yelling at men, demanding from men, that is weakness, not power. Meeting men with your heart, understanding the suffering of men and rising to support them as your fellow human being, that is a powerful woman.
